Attracting visitors and residents, promoting local businesses, and building a better community are main focuses of the Sylvester-Worth County Chamber of Commerce. Marketing Sylvester-Worth County effectively is vital to compete with other communities vying for the same new dollars from visitors, individuals relocating, and companies interested in finding the right place for their new businesses, headquarters, or additional offices. Promoting community businesses, organizations, and events to our local residents is also our priority.

Thank you for supporting your community and your chamber. I look forward to serving you further as we continue to bring new business, new visitors, and new residents to Worth County!

Sincerely,

Kyle Tomlinson, Chamber Board Chairman

Education Committee

The Sylvester-Worth County Education Committee presented Worth County High School Prinicpal Scott Chafin with the first installment of our 2015 CACG Grant of $1500.00 on Wednesday Feb 26, 2015.  This is the second year that the Sylvester-Worth County Chamber has received the CACG Grant from the Georgia Partners for Excellance in Education.   Chambers in the State of Georgia can apply for the Mini Grant every year.  The Grant will be used in efforts to encourage higher Education.  With statistics that say over 80% of all jobs today require education after High School and Site Selectors for industry putting workforce as the top 10 indicators for selecting a community to move into the Chamber and Economic Development Authority understands the importance of educating our students to graduate.  The Education Committee Chair Superintendent Kay Mathews was present as well as Chamber Chair Kyle Tomlinson, Chamber Directors Jean Brooks, Shelly McPhaul, Chris Shipp, Amanda Parr, Tony Bell and Lisa Dylinski and Ambassador Jennifer Calhoun. Before and after the Check Presentation the Directors and Ambassadors were treated to a tour of the facilities at Worth County High School.
