Worth County Middle School along with the Sylvester-Worth County Chamber of Commerce held an awards breakfast on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 to recognize students for becoming part of Worth County Middle School Winner’s Circle for academic excellence or growth. Each nine weeks a student from each grade level will be chosen who has exceeded in his her academic areas and has no history of discipline reports. Each student received a framed certificate along with a $25 cash prize. Worth County Middle School along with the members of the Sylvester-Worth County Chamber of Commerce would like to congratulate the recipients of the awards for the second nine weeks of school. Academic Achievers: 6th Grade – Makaila Jones, 7th Grade – Samantha Foerster, 8th Grade – Tanisha Patel. Most Improved Students: 6th Grade – Aaliyah Gille, 7th Grade – Naia Britt, 8th Grade – Alexis Stalvey. Worth County Middle School staff present were: Tiffany Sevier – Principal, 6th Grade Social Studies Teacher –Christina Toneygay, Maria Fletcher – School Improvement Specialist, Greta Hunt-Counselor, Jan Masters – Media Specialist, and Jaki Johnson – Parent Involvement Coordinator. Chamber Members present were: Karen Rackley, Jay Crowe, Lisa Dylinski, Jean Brooks, and Gina Connell. We would like to thank Dr. Amy Chafin – Curriculum Specialist, and Christy Haskins – Instructional Technology from the Worth County Board of Education for attending as well.
