The National Grits Festival is held in Warwick, The Grits Capital of the World, in April. Throughout the day, there is live entertainment, food vendors, craft dealers, animal displays, and plenty of activities for the kids. Other events at the festival included the corn-shelling contest, the Quaker Grits eating contest, and an antique tractor and car show. There is also the famous and unprecedented “Roll in the Quaker Instant Grits Contest”. There’s nothing like rolling around in a cattle trough full of cooked Quaker Instant Grits to entertain you! BFHS Bark in the Park: April 19, 2014
The Dog Walk will be an organized walk for participants that have raised pledge money to benefit the Best Friends Humane Society. The Festival will include a variety of canine competitions, demos, contests, pet health screenings, rescue groups, pet related exhibitors, food vendors and more!

Downtown Sylvester Farmers’ Market: May – Nov 2013
Takes place every Saturday from 8:00a – 1:00p at the Train Depot. Come find an assortment of goods sold by local area vendors including things such as fresh produce, locally made sauces, goat milk products, potted plants, honeys, and more. On a specially selected Saturday each month, entertainment and area artists also join the fun, so check back often!
